Burcham Elementary WILL have school tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9th. Our air conditioning system is up and running, and we are ready to welcome our students back!
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we worked to get everything repaired.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!
Due to an unexpected mechanical issue with our geothermal air conditioning system, Burcham Elementary will be closed September 8, 2026.
The pumps that operate our geothermal system have malfunctioned and are leaking water in several classrooms. At this time, we are unable to operate our air conditioning units until the pumps can be repaired.
Because of the extremely hot weather conditions, we have made the decision to cancel school tomorrow to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
Please know that this cancellation applies to Burcham Elementary ONLY.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep families informed as we receive updates regarding the repairs and the status of school.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and patience.

This is the final week to enroll in the Eagle Flight Academy, and we still have openings available! The Eagle Flight Academy aims to provide students with tailored support in both Reading and Math, based on their individual needs rather than their grade level. We offer fun and interactive learning activities in small groups to help build confidence. This program is designed for students completing 1st through 4th grades.
