We are closely monitoring weather reports and want to work with families as they make decisions on what is best for their child. Currently, our plan is to maintain our regular school schedule and dismiss at the normal release time. Students and staff that are at the school will all have a safe place if concerning weather arises. We do understand that some families may prefer to pick up their child early. We also understand that your child may normally ride the bus, but you want to pick them up today. If this is the case, please let our offices know early so that we aren’t making last minute changes. THIS WEEK is.... 🍎Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week📚 May 6-10 We appreciate each and everyone of our teachers and staff at Burcham! They go above and beyond for our students! Thank you for all that you do!!!

In April, 1st grade and Kindergarten students had the opportunity to partake in an ATV Safety program. This is a program that Bethany Children’s Health Center offers for free for local Health & Physical Education classes. Thank you Mike Klumpp for taking the time to visit with our students and teach them the importance’s of ATV safety!

Burcham held a retirement party for Daneille Schmidt. 23 years of loving and teaching children! Mrs. Schmidt has been Kim O’Daniel’s assistant the past several years in Pre-K🍎❤️ Thank you Mrs. Schmidt for your hard work and dedication to our students over the years! You will be missed at Burcham!

Today is National School Principals’ Day❤️❤️ Burcham Elementary would like to give a BIG SHOUTOUT to our 2 principals Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Svitak. The Oklahoma Children’s Theatre presented a show called Oklahoma’s Own. The show was an interactive performance about the State of Oklahoma. Also Kindergarten and 1st Grade students participated in a coloring contest. BancFirst chose a winner from each grade. The winners were Serenity Pike (Kindergarten) and Adaline Machalicek (1st Grade).

We’re still needing volunteers for 1st grade Burcham Bonanza for THIS FRIDAY!! We only have 8 parent volunteers and need 30 total! Let your student’s teacher know or send the sign up sheet back to school if you’d like to help out!

The Burcham Bonanza is coming up next Friday, April 26th for Kindergarten and 1st Grade students! We will need volunteers to help run each station that day. A sign-up sheet for volunteers has been sent home with each KG and 1st Grade student.
