My name is Judy Zehr, and I teach First Grade at Burcham Elementary. This will be my sixth year at our wonderful school. I've taught for over 30 years, and have loved every minute. My classroom experience ranges from kindergarten all the way to college, when I was a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State University. Most of my years have been with elementary students, and this is where my true passion for teaching lies. I love to watch children learn and grow, and being a part of their lives for a little while is such a joy.
I've been married to Joel for almost 38 years, and besides each other, we love God, our families, friends, and OSU! He is also an educator, and works for Watonga Public Schools. We have a very sweet lab mixed breed, Hope. She was a rescue dog that was meant for us, and she is definitely the princess at our house. We are blessed with one wonderful son, Jordan, who got married a year ago to his beautiful wife, Elizabeth. They live and work in Austin, Texas. Jordan is also finishing up seminary, so any prayer you can send his way will be very much appreciated! My mother lives here in Weatherford, as well as my older sister and her husband. It's so great to be here with part of our family. My younger sister and her husband live in Houston, Texas, and my younger brother and his two children call Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home.
I am so grateful to be a teacher. There is no better job in the world, and the rewards are priceless. I look forward to every day that I spend with my students!
