Welcome to my web page!
I genuinely LOVE teaching young children!
Now for a little about myself and my family.
I grew up on a grain and cattle farm operation in central Kansas and still enjoy returning home to help with wheat harvest or work cattle. I attended Kansas State University and graduated in 1993 with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught in the Kansas public school system for five years while my husband completed his Doctoral degree in Chemistry at Kansas University. I also taught private piano lessons and directed our church choir.
When God blessed us with children of our own, I was fortunate to continue my love of teaching in a new way by staying at home to raise our children while managing and operating my own daycare business for children 3 months - 5 years old. I decided it was time to return to the teaching profession when we moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma in 2005. I was a Pre-K teacher at Burcham for five years before I switched to teaching TK/1 (Transitional Kindergarten/First) in August 2011. I am honored to be a part of this fabulous school system!
My husband is a professor of Chemistry at SWOSU. We have two wonderful boys who are busy with a variety of activities including music, sports, academic teams & robotics.
