Music
I graduated from Woodward High School in 1998 then attended SWOSU and graduated in 2004.
I have a Bachelor of Music Education and am Certified to teach grades K-12.
I started teaching at in the Weatherford School District at Burcham Elementary in August of 2016. I taught part-time for three years, and am now the full-time music teacher. I teach Kindergarten, TK1, and 1st grade music. I plan and host every Friday “Great Gathering at Burcham” on Friday mornings in the gym.
I started my teaching career at Truman Elementary in Norman, Oklahoma in August of 2005. I taught at Truman until May of 2010. I then taught at Cleveland Elementary from August of 2010 through May of 2014. At both of these Norman schools, I taught grades Kindergarten-5th.
I have three children: Lola was born in November of 2002, Luke was born in January of 2008, and Frankie was born in November of 2013. Fun fact: Lola and Frankie have the same birthday 11 years apart! I have two sweet little dogs (part Cavalier King Charles and part Havanese) named Marlee Sue and a Cavalier King Charles named Ruby. Lola is a wonderful singer, basketball player, discus thrower, and outgrew her mom at the age of 12! Luke loves to play soccer, basketball, football, and baseball and has a heart of gold. Frankie is the baby of the family and plays the part well! She enjoys tumbling, soccer, basketball, and t-ball. All three children attend Weatherford Public Schools.
I love teaching the “littel ones” music with all of my heart! I’ve played piano since the young age of five and am a classically trained singer. I love all music and like to attend all kinds of concerts, plays, and music festivals. I love to play golf, snow ski, and play soccer. Spending time cheering on my kids on the stage or in sports is how I spend a lot of my free time and I wouldn’t change that for the world!
